Universal Video Maximizer

[Extension updated Feb 2022] Zoom videos on most websites to fill the browser window. Removes the clutter. Some websites restrict watching videos to some fixed size they decide. Universal Video Maximizer gives you control over how big or small to watch videos without all the distractions on the page. ✓ Secure and private! Only runs when you click the extension button. ✓ After analyzing the page, the video resizes to fit the window. ✓ Must have for people with large monitors. ✓ Has a "lights out" theater feature. ✓ Works well with most sites. Tips: - If a video doesn't zoom, then try again with the video "wide mode" on the site, then use this extension. - If you find a site that doesn't work, please report it under the Support tab on the chrome web store listing. - Try out Video Maximizer V3 BETA. Added code to secure it from running on chrome: but apparently some users use it locally. (Fixed in v2.0.18) - Fixed bug with some pages making videos extra wide. The extreme ratio made them look like ads and they wouldn't zoom (Fixed in v2.0.17) - While it still worked, it was originally released in December 2013 and needed some updates because websites have changed. - Fixed youtube issues (but works best if the video is in theater mode). - Javascript source was outdated and brought it up to ES6 standard. - Tried to restrict permissions further. This may generate security warnings for pages where the video is contained in an iFrame to a different site. Will investigate how to resolve these. Keep in mind this extension is FREE and done as a hobby. Release Notes: 2.0.15 - Fixed page scrolling breaking on unzoom. - Hiding logic was rerunning more times than needed. (Watch for issues of unzooming happening after ads) - Fix undo icon clearing on some sites while still zoomed.
