----- Description ----- The HeadTab extension provides a beatiful well designed tab that provides a high level of customizability. The extension has support for your normal chrome bookmarks, displays what tabs are playing audio, displays the weather, has a clock and a search field. --- Clock --- The HeadTab clock can display the time in both the am/pm or the 24 hours format. It displays the time and date. --- Get your music in view --- The HeadTab extension makes it easy to see what tabs are playing audio and places their icons right in the clock, by hovering over the icon you can see what their title is. --- BookMarks --- This new tab extension has support for your normal chrome bookmarks, meaning everything is already setup and you can easily add a bookmark by adding a star to a tab. --- Search --- You can use commands to use a lot of search engines and you can search via the search for command or by typing in the search box. --- Commands --- The extension can be customized via commands (a graphical interface is being worked on) and every action can be performed directly from the command box. To customize the extension you can trigger the command box by pressing CTRL+Q on your keyboard when having the tab focused. The types of commands are: -- Simple feature controls -- The features that can be controled with this command are: - clock (displays a clock in the top of your screen), - darken (darkens the background to make text readable on lighter backgrounds), - bookmarks (displays bookmarks on the left), - displaysearchengine (displays the search engine you are using), - audios (displays the tabs playing audio in the clock), - weather (displays the weather on the left) turn feature on, where feature stands for the feature you want to turn on, example: turn bookmarks on turn feature off, where feature again stands for the feature you want to turn off -- Advanced settings commands -- These commands can configure more advanced settings where a text input is required. set background backgroundurl, where backgroundurl stands for the url of the background image you want set background default, sets the background to the default picture set searchengine google, sets the search engine (compatible search engines are: google, duckduckgo, ecosia, bing, brave and yahoo) set clocktype am/pm, sets the clocktype you can use am/pm or 24 set city your city, sets the city for the weather widget -- Action commands -- These commands perform actions on the page search for searchphrase, where searchphrase stands for what you want to search for open bookmark bookmarkname, the name of the bookmark download config, downloads your config upload config, uploads a config to get the settings of it ---- Updates ---- v1.3 This update included new features, a new search engine and bug fixes --- New Features --- Configs, save your settings and get them back on any device A new welcome screen Weather widget --- New search engines --- I added startpage.com as 1 of the possible search engines --- Bug Fixes --- Removed uppercase sensitivity for search engines Fixed issue were some devices wouldnt display the search engine bar v1.2.1 This update included a rename and some additional promotional material --- Rename --- I renamed the extension from Simple New Tab to HeadTab, this name is more unique and makes the extension more easily findable in search v1.2 This update included some amazing big new features and some small bug fixes --- New Features --- - Command interface to configure and perform actions, - introduction of multiple search engines, - now playing icons, - bookmarks support, - Custom background support, - Configure elements, - 24 hours clock --- Bug Fixes --- - fixed issue where the clock would show 12:00AM as 00:00PM v1.1 This update included new features and internal improvements --- New Features --- - Clock in the top of the window --- Internal Improvements --- - Code is now more organized and fast - Added internal support for customizing parts of the extension
